Our Visit to Port de Palma to Witness Marine Waste Management in Action! ⚓️🌊
The role of ports in managing waste generated by marine transport is essential for maintaining clean seas!⚓️🌊🔹 This week we had the privilege of witnessing this process firsthand alongside representatives from the Ports de Balears and the company Adalmo. We observed the journey of waste offloaded from a cruise ship all the way to its recycling ♻️. Additionally, we saw how the waste is declared, where and how it is transported 🚢, and the software programs used to track it .This was all within the framework of the #PortNet – #CircularPort project, which aims to achieve full traceability of port waste from its offloading at the port to its transformation into new materials with blockchain🔗.A big thank you to everyone who joined us for this important day and contributed to the progress of the project! 👏PortNet – CircularPort is a project funded by the Ports 4.0 fund, Puertos del Estado.
PORTNET Kick Off Meeting
Yesterday, we participated in the exciting kick-off session of the #PORTNET project, supported by the #Puertos4.0 initiative. We delved into the project, carefully reviewed the roadmap, defined priorities for this initial phase, and established our working approach.PORTNET is not just a project, it represents a revolution in waste management ♻️. We are paving the way for complete #traceability and #transparency in port ecosystems by integrating #blockchain technology into our Digital Waste and Product Passport platform 📇.We are thrilled about this opportunity and eager to collaborate with such an extraordinary team. Together, we are transforming port waste management! 🚀 Ports de Balears Puertos del Estado
